Confined Space Rescue Services

There To Protect Your Personnel

Over 60% of all confined space fatalities are a result of attempted rescue by workers unprepared for the hazards they encounter. Life Rescue Inc. specializes in confined space rescue. With thousands of completed confined space projects under our belt, we’ve seen it all and can design the safest and most efficient rescue solution to protect your team.

At Life Rescue Inc. we have the skill and expertise to handle all of your confined space needs.  We have worked within every major industry from manufacturing to power generation and everything in between. Whether you need a last minute confined space rescue team or planning a future outage or turnaround, we are here to help.  We can staff projects of any size and duration with qualified rescue technicians. Anywhere in the country.

The Difference We Bring

A conventional Fire and Rescue response to a confined space incident at your facility is going to take significant time. More time than your affected workers can afford. At Life Rescue Inc. we operate within strict protocols that specify our teams will initiate patient contact, inside of any confined space, in under 7 minutes. Our operating procedures also mandate that we are able to get your affected workers out of the space and to the ground, from any height, within 35 minutes. This means our team can access any column, tower or elevated platform and safely return your affected worker to the ground for medical assessment or transport in just over half an hour. This is an exceptionally rapid response that can only be undertaken by advanced Technicians and with careful planning.

Each rescue team we deploy is staffed with a designated medical lead (EMT and in some cases Paramedic), technical lead (NFPA Technician level or SPRAT certified) and safety officer. We designate a fully equipped rescue trailer for every job, every time. These trailers are equipped with every conceivable rescue and PPE need and include:

  • SCBA systems

  • Supplied air systems and escape packs

  • Atmospheric monitoring

  • Patient packaging litters for confined spaces and high angle applications

  • Technical rigging equipment

  • Rescue tripods

  • Mechanical winching devices

  • Ventilation equipment

  • Robust BLS kit and AED

  • Respiratory protection from particulates and organic vapors

  • Rescue and rope access harnesses and equipment

  • Communication systems

  • Fall arresting devices, SLR’s and horizontal lifelines

We also augment each rescue trailers needs based upon the complexity of the job whether these jobs are taking place in tunnels and penstocks or at heights above 300 feet. In the Puget Sound area we have supported projects from the top of the Seattle Space Needle to the depths of the “Big Bertha Tunnel”. We also possess backcountry capability to support remote infrastructure projects within every potential terrain feature.
